G7 pDST

The G7 pDST is combination of our G7 accelerometer-enabled Data Storage Tag and a user-programmable release mechanism. It features independent sensor logging to allow for flexible programming.

The G7 pDST also enables customers to increase tag return rates thanks to the pop-off feature. Operating using galvanic corrosion, the user is able to program the unit to separate itself from its host on a set date. This feature does not affect the data logging capability as it has a dedicated battery ensuring the reliability of both the data logging and pop-off functions

* We are currently undergoing development work into a “standard” attachment method for the G7 pDST, which would enable users to capture meaningful accelerometer data (keeping the tag static) but also allow it to pop-off from its host.

Currently, the G7 pDST is available for users who wish to experiment with their own attachment method.
