This award winning system developed by Cefas is an interactive tool to prevent and control the spread of serious fish diseases.

Contact Control - a shared database facilitates rapid response
and follow up, so preventing the spread of serious disease.
The database is shared by the four organisations in England and Wales responsible for live fish transfer legislation (Defra, the Environment Agency, the Welsh Assembly, and Cefas).
The database facilitates a joined-up government approach to fish movement controls containing all the relevant information on:
- Fish Farm registration and inspection
- Fish movements (farms and inland waters)
- Fish imports from the EU and from third countries
- Export certification
- Disease testing
- The keeping of non-native fish
